RCFC deeply mourns the sad demise of our President Mr. A.B. Choudhuri who passed away on 11 August 2017. His departure has left a void that is hard to fill. He led RCFC with vigour and determination and was responsible for bringing in new projects that significantly improved RCFC’s infrastructure. His systematic approach and attention to detail greatly enhanced the service quality within the organisation. Mr. Choudhuri uncomprisingly ensured that each patient received brooked no compromises and ensured that each patient received the best possible treatment in RCFC. He proved that quality service can be delivered free or at low cost – it only requires “integrity and empathy”. Mr. A.B. Choudhuri’s commitment and dedication was fueled by his boundless compassion for the underprivileged. Perhaps his association with Mother Teresa as a youngster instilled in him the spirit and practice of selfless service which has become the leitmotif of RCFC. We bow our heads in grateful prayer for the wonderful legacy he has bequeathed unto us. We shall strive to live up to it.
“The tide recedes but leaves behind
bright seashells on the sand.
The sun goes down, but gentle
warmth still lingers on the land.
The music stops, and yet it echoes
on in sweet refrains….
For every joy that passes,
something beautiful remains.”
