Physiotherapy is a vital part of rehabilitating orthopaedically challenged children and is provided to both pre and post-operative patients to restore functioning of the limbs at optimal level.

The main aim of this unit is to achieve normal motor functions milestones as much as possible.

The department is supervised by a full time physiotherapist and supported by part timers. The service is offered to both inpatients and outpatients.

In 2017-18 physiotherapy was provided to 1773 patients who include the admitted cases, as well as outdoor cases. An additional 171 cerebral palsy cases underwent physiotherapy during the year.

In this connection it is important to note that after carrying out a substantial upgradation and modernization during the year, the physiotherapy unit is now ready to offer pay clinic services to the general public, irrespective of any age.
