Cerebral Palsy is a group of conditions that are characterized by chronic disorders of movement or postures. Cerebral Palsy (CP) varies in type, location and severity of impairment.
The condition of CP Patients from poor families is heart rendering. The parents are either ignorant about the implications of CP or even if they are aware, too poor to afford the treatment which involves visiting several hospitals and institutions because a hospital/institution may offer just one or two services. Most parents find this experience physically taxing and emotionally draining.
The financial burden adds to their stress and lack of any viable alternative compels many parents to give up, with devastating consequences for the child, who is then condemned to a life of neglect.
RCFC is among the few institutions in the country providing comprehensive multi-disciplinary care within a single campus.
